After searching hi and lo on the web to find out which wires to short out on the red datalink connector, I'm gonna tell you! Short out the green and brown (not brown/yellow) wires together and the motor will advance so you can line up the index lines on the exhaust pulley, once you've removed the metal cover on the standard exhaust silencer. You now need to turn the ignition off and check the position. On a similar note, my bike had the cables removed with the exhaust valve sprung fully open, probably the last owner's gash mod at making it faster. This costs power as the valve on my bike was not fully open, it was 20 degrees(ish) past fully open, so was restricting exhaust flow and therefore power. The bike now, with cables re-fitted and setup has more power everywhere.
