I've signed up for the Brands GP day on 4th July with MSV, as Shakey will be on hand for some instruction: MSVTrackdays / Shakey Byrne Would be interesting to see his lines even if he just does the sighting laps! Deffo gonna try and get some of his time on track as well though, if possible.
That's the cost for 3 groups at Brands GP nowadays, unfortunately, and £175ish for 4 groups. Although I think NL have now retracted 3 group TDs there as they said they didn't have enough people booking onto them despite overwhelming support for 3 groups over 4.
NL wont be running anymore 3 group days at brands (after the 1 they have).229 is a lot of money, but people will pay 200 for croft, but they have a lot less riders on track (25 per group)
Been here before - 4 group days are a waste of time IMO. Red flag carnage, and will keep me away from brands. I'd pay 225 for 3 group gp all day long though as I think it's amazing. By far best track I've done and in the uk IMO. Def worth a treat. Paid 160 for donny yesterday. Put desiel on top and brands gp works out cheaper for me plus you can't put a price on sunshine lol Not enough people booking onto 3 groups? Folk will stop booking onto 4 group days (inc me) its pants.
My sentiments exactly, Jimbo. Will have to let market forces have their say. Once MSV realise they are over-charging for Brands they'll hopefully see sense and drop their prices.
With such a lack of tracks in the south east, and the fact it has the Brands factor (paddock hill and the history of the place) will always see demand high.... but i'd rather pay more than a 4 group day - it's just pants! wait longer to get less time on track, its a recipe for disaster and when we done gp on 4 group day, was absolute carnage........
Yeah we did 4 groups Brands GP last year. Apart from it being a nightmare to work out when you're back on or not (NL's lack of indication as to which group is out doesn't help), we had completely switched off by the time the hour had passed between sessions. Also meant a 2-hour lunch break. Wish there were more tracks within a reasonable distance. Snetters and Bedford are both decent circuits but still a 1.5-2 hour schlep back afterwards.
