All this chat about old "George" Lorenzo and he now wears a helmet by Shark instead of HJC - anyway looking at these Shark Helmets a bit more.....

I notice they are French with their HQ near Marseille.

Just wondering if anyone knows if they have visitor facilities for the public ? - to have a look around, maybe a museum a few free stickers, listen to some spiel.

Quite liking the look of the fancy carbon race one they do.

Anyway, might have to stop by on the way to the Bol d'Or in a few weeks time - if they are open to the public.

I'd say contact the HQ and ask them. Can't hurt!

Edit: I was posting about HJC...sorry!

That is okay, good idea - I could give them a call at Shark and see if they are open to the public.

I will be down there in a couple of weeks time, to watch the Bol d' Or 24 hr race, so figured it would be interesting to stop by their HQ if they are open to the public.

    Two weeks to go !!!

Any room in the top box for some goodies for the boys and gals?;)

Bol d' Or will be a treat! 24 hours no sleep?:( (https://www.fimewc.com/event/bol-dor-2017-2018/ )

Taking bets on Honda France for the win!!

I gave them a call at the Marseille HQ and asked if they are open to the public - no is the answer to that ! :D

Ah well, I will have to get a HJC then

@nigelrb - Honda did well last year, actually watched some of it on the TV. I remember the ordinary old model Fireblade did well, run by a French team. The new current model Fireblade did very well in the Hands of the Honda Racing team - there was a great battle between them and the BMW in the last laps of the race for a podium place. Exciting right up to the very last corners of the last lap.

So figured I would go this year, booked the dates off work well in advance - took a bit of a guess as the dates hadn't been confirmed yet. The Bol d'Or in September 2018 is actually the start of the 2018-2019 racing season and not the end of the 2017-2018 season, which is a bit weird.

    Should be good !

That's what 'm talkin' about. I've lost the 'Ryuichi Kiyonari' curse. :)
