Anyone had one of these , looking to possibly change, currently got a Arai Chaser , tried one on in Newcastle Motorcycles , felt very comfy, visor was very smooth and no side pods, having suffered the std Arai sidepods failures in the past , want to move away from them. Downside is the dark visor replacement seems exepensive ( £70), and cannot test the wind noise...... Cheers Dave
i have the top of the line race model absolutly brilliant in my opinion for what its worth. quite, excellent periveral vision.very light as well. also so had a mid range one that i a little misdermeaner on and im still here.
I have the race r pro its not a bad helmet but I do prefer my shoei X spirit as the the over all quality is better
I have a Speed R. I like it a lot in terms of comfort and I love the integral sun visor. However, there is a horizontal fin at the back which draws out hot air to keep your swede cool. Works well but I think the helmet is designed for street bikes with more if an upright riding position. If you tuck in to your tank or look down at the dash you get a lot of wind noise produced by that fin.
Thanks for the replies. I went back on Saturday to try it on again, but this time it fellt too tight, so decided to puah the local Arai dealer for a deal on an RX7GP...... Got a diamond black one, fits like a glove at a decent price, could have got it a little cheaper on line but prefer to have the backup of a shop should anything go wrong.
