Have a search of the forum, been done to death this one... everyone seems to have a different opinion!
    Heres a good thread: http://1000rr.co.uk/index.php?threads/super-unleaded.13033/
    This one's a bit long: http://1000rr.co.uk/index.php?threads/fuel.17653/

In answer to your question, I usually use V-Power, and I think it makes the bike a tiny amount smoother, but it's barely any different from standard Shell.
My previous blade (RRY) was night and day... felt like a totally different bike on V-Power, so much smoother and happier to rev.

Personally, think it will depend on the bike, the state of the bike, any aftermarket performance add-ons, how good the map is, etc....

Just try it... won't do any harm.

Ran it on a standard bike and it defo made the bike run smoother but on my custom mapped bike it doesn't like v power for some reason...

I only use V Power in my bike and cars.
Modern fuels loose octane as the chemical make-up has changed over the years which let it stay more stable for longer.

Especially if you only use the bike now and again.

Also cheaper/supermarket fuel have less additives which keeps valves, rings and pistons cleaner.

Friend had a Vauxhall Vectra, he worked for Tescos and always filled up at work, I'd listen to his engine and it would slowly run worse and then be like its on three cylinders.
Put then was Optimax in it for a while and it would run fine after a few tankfuls.
The problem is a lot of cars run such small valve stems they gum up and stick, so on tick over they don't close fully.
Seems wrong to scrimp on a few pence per litre.

I have not had a chance to use any of the "super" fuels in my RR5 yet but when I had a GSXR 600 there was a noticeable difference when using V Power. I wouldn't say the top end had any more pull but it definitely had more mid range punch and as a result less throttle was needed for normal riding. I also used to get a few more miles per tank too which made the actual running costs about the same between standard and super.

I too always use it in the bike and my cars, safer as burns quicker and I notice the bike run smoother and slight bit more happy on acceleration
