    Basically woke up with what i thought was cramp in my calf last Friday morning

    By Monday pain was getting worse so went to A&E only to be told its just a varicose vein coming through......man up!!!

    Thursday calf is swollen, ankle swollen and dark, knee hurts.....

    Friday morning scan.........you've got DVT !!!!!

    blood thinners mate and should heal itself eventually......on a 3 month course of medication though.

    No flying mate, its just down to spending so long in the car everyday i believe. #

    Although i am quite heavy i like to think of myself as fairly fit and healthy, I dont drink or smoke.

    Sorry to hear about DVT's, not good mate but at least you've got treatment, as you are probably aware by now can be life threatening if not sorted, you'll no doubt be on Warfarin as Nutty described as Rat poison, it will just take time to disperse then you'll be fighting fit again.

    Crap news fella I have Verecous veins had my first ones removed 3 years ago which at 27 ain't great.

    DVT is serious though glad you caught it in time!
