I have a couple but I've not had a different make so not able to compare. However when Arai make an RX7 I like I will be getting one as I fancy a change and to be able to compare. So I'm like you but the other way round.

Yes it's been fine I have no complaints. Fit's great wind noise for me hasn't been an issue, I do use ear plugs though. Comfy on long trips vision is good and pinlock fitted so no fogging. No reason to change other than just fancy it I think. Try one on and see how it fits.

Xr1100 is a current model just slightly heavier, same big visor, different vents and doesn't have the emergency tabs to pull the cheek pads out in event of an accident.
A very good helmet though! My brother has one and I can't fault it at all

I've got an xr1100 and it's bang on for me. I haven't found an Arai to fit me. A friend of mine has always had Arais and has just bought an X Spirit 2. He has somehow managed to stuff his ugly and mishapen head into it and is well pleased with it.

I have the xspirit 2 mc Guinness rep its awesome, fits well and very comfy, if I had a small complaint it is slightly louder than the xspirit but not enough to say don't buy it as everything else outweighs this minor detail

I tried the Arais but not my head shape I guess the shoei X Spirit fits perfectly is comfortable to wear all day and never mists up, may be a bit noisy if I had to moan. Down to head shape and personal choice i guess.

Now bubba, I was going to get the mcguiness rep but opted for the tomizowa rep instead, I think they made a good few mcguiness ones but only 250 tomizowas if memory serves.
