Hi, I have a 2005 blade as a track bike. I've just fitted the sigma slipper clutch on it. I'm just after some help with the friction plate arrangement. I've followed the instructions from the cd provided etc. I've removed the chatter springs as requested and put the plates back in order as the standard clutch was configured but it seems it isn't working as effectively as I thought. Has anyone else fitted one of these on this model of blade? Also can anyone recommend a different sequence of friction plates? Thanks if anyone can help. Chris.
Hi, Thanks for that. Great video and a great help. I've watched the first part aswell. In the first video at 2mins 44secs he takes out the stock pressure plate. I can see that the last friction plate is stuck to the pressure plate when he takes it off but it is off set to the rest of the friction plates in the clutch which is correct in my eyes. But in the second video ( the one you have posted ) at 5mins 39secs he puts the last friction plate in the same slot as the rest of the friction plates. Has he made a mistake here or has he done this on purpose? Cheers, Chris.
It's how i always assemble clutches(top pic) but i dont think it would make any difference to operation
when I put one in my 06 blade, the clutch was slipping under acceleration, so I changed the front spring cups to the smaller ones and it worked fine. You don't say what the issue is you have after fitting?
