Well me Ching Chong Chang fake Samco Hose kit arrived today and I had to laugh when I same the senders address! Anyway the Hoses look great and are thicker and more substantial than the OEM one's. Only problem is two of the hoses require complete dismantling of the Fuel rail and Air box to get access to the hose clips! No problem thinks I and start twirling my spanners. I hit a major problem when I can't get one of the Inlet trumpets off due to a mangled torx screw from a previous Monkey. Had to snap off the trumpet and get an angle grinder in there to create a slot to use a big flat screwdriver, even then I only just did it, so much for torque settings! I now need a new inlet trumpet and all new screws as the others don't look too clever either. Mission accomplised and hoses fitted but not after 2-3 hours of fecking about, good job it wasn't at the Stealers! The CAT removal didn't go too well either as I couldn't get around the dog leg in the pipe coming from Pots 1 & 2! Fecked it off to a mate whose guna cut the cunt open and and clean the rest out for me! Couldn't be bothered after all the other myther!
No mate just reused the old one's as they were all in good nick, bikes only done 2K miles. Sods law says the two clips buried under the Air box will leak when it's all back together!
Put a set of Blue Samco hoses on my Repsol, look so much better than the originals and better quality. Was thinking of putting them on the SP Blade when it arrives but this time matched colour wise to the sections of the fairing you can see them through but not sure if it'll be too anal or not!
Gonna change the hoses on mine but with a black bike I'm not sure what colour to go for! Red or blue?
Very nice! I have a set to put on also, good quality arnt they, mine were £40 if I remember correctly..
Think mine were £29 delivered with clips eBay had them about a month now but gonna wait to flush system and put on with fresh distilled water . They look just as good as Samcos on my blade
look good, anyone know if LMC ones are any good? they sit between cheap china and expensive Samco Honda CBR1000rr 04-07 LMC Silicone Coolant Hose Kit Blue / Radiator Hose Cbr | eBay
This is a quote I had done to replace the SP's coolant hoses with Samco ones, notice how much more the hoses with "Y" pieces in are, guess harder to make than straight or slightly curved ones. 1.00 TB4276-WH Honda CBR 1000 RR Samco Sport Y-Section Coolant Hose - White £67.75 1.00 TB2592-WH Honda CBR 1000 RR Samco Sport Y-Section Coolant Hose - White £66.57 1.00 TB2589-BK Honda CBR 1000 RR Samco Coolant Hose - Black £17.70 1.00 TB2590-RD Honda CBR 1000 RR Thin Overflow Samco Coolant Hose - Red £14.02 1.00 TB2587-RD Honda CBR 1000 RR Samco Coolant Hose - Red £12.40 1.00 TB2168-BK Honda CBR 1000 RR Samco Coolant Hose - Black £2.49 1.00 TB2585-BU Honda CBR 1000 RR Samco Sport Hose - Blue £1.75
I hate to buy Chinese over UK products but I bought samcos for my 900 engine for 160 quid but I just wasn't spending that again for hoses.. I really don't think these are a compromise on quality and just cannot justify an additional 120 quid for the same thing..
the only real difference is the writing on the hose, one says's samco and the other say's chong wong, price difference is £120, I'll have some of those chong wong please The ones with samco on them are probably made there anyway, so why use the more expensive middle man?
