I have a 2019 cbr1000rr it already has a scorpion slip on and I am wanting to change it. Question is is the standard rr exhaust the same as the sp Bore size and will some of the newer slip ons fit or are they different fit ment?

Hi guys sorry to piggy-back Itsafix's question but i have just bought a 2009 track bike and want to get a daytime MOT. The seller believes that the exhaust fitted (see pic) is unlikely to pass an MOT. I just want something cheap that i can use when on the road and will revert to the one in pic for track days. Any recommendations or anything being sold on here that i could look at please? i saw a number of slip ons for sale on Facebook Marketplace for circa £50 which would be a great price if i knew they would fit. Newbie to the CBR so any advice (that a 3 year old could understand) would be appreciated.

If that has a baffle it should pass. If it says "not for road use" then rub it down and polish up first.

These days it seems easier to get an exhaust to pass for the road than the track unless you only go tracks with no noise limits.

Just get a used standard oem exhaust for MOT and you can even use it on track at venues that are a bit strict when it comes to noise !;)

If you're looking to change it, Arrow and Racefit do some nice options. They're all available for standard and SP models but if you're ordering for a standard 1000rr it shouldn't make a difference really ;)

I bought a Black Widow, with an extra baffle which goes in the front end before you fit it. You can remove the rear baffle for the road and put it back in before visiting the NIMBYs at Donny.
Was dirt cheap compared to something like an Akropovic and I love the sound and the fact it’s about 3kg less.
