A lovely view of my a*se and a bit of track. Watch from 4:50 (first bit is warming up) and click 1080p, sound is ok too! Bit of a weird day really, second ever trackday on my pride and joy and no limits had sold out, it was heaving. The novice group was the last to sell out and consequently we had a load of regular inters and some fast group in our group which didn't particularly help my confidence! Learnt alot from following them and getting used to the bike but a lot of getting stood up by faaar more experienced riders for me unfortunately Happy for comments on vid or pics/positioning/lines etc, bear in mind i'm a complete novice on track though And the link for those on the ipad/iphone - GOPR0004 - YouTube And a couple of pics..
Body position looks fairly good try and get your upper body off more mate might feel a bit better. I always try point my chest where i wanna exit the bend so the bike sort of follows me round. Its mint, even crashing is fun!!
Cheers YT. So rather than having my chest face the bike, try to face it outwards? I thought I was hanging off loads lol! Got a pic of you doing it so I can compare?
Off eBay as nearly new mate - Richa Airforce. They weigh a tonne as they're soo thick! Love them. Buy some
Lookin forward to gettin a little 600 next year thats not so high up so i can get lower without as much lean. Im no expert but i would recommend the instructors they can really give some good help
I'm sooo jealous of most of those pictures (apart from the last one) Think i need to find someone local to help me with my body position around corners as i'm obviously not doing something quite right! At Snett i was behind people who had their knee down all the way around the corner, same speed but i was nowhere near, lol! I NEED a trackbike!
Best thing to do mate is not worry about it it will come with time I used to see photographer go for the low pic but it was never my fastest line at all now I just go with the flow and I got low last weekend on the deck ha ha Another pic YT lol
Quality picture! Not at all jealous One question i did have - the tyre guy recommended my pressures were 32/32 cold for my group (novice) on a reasonably warm day. Most people seemed to be running about 29/29 cold, were mine too high?
Rosso corsas? They're a bit old though. Got about 2mm left on the edge that I couldn't get on the 190 rear
Had a good look at your vids fezza and not bad at all! Snetty is my favourite track so happy to do a few sessions with you there next year. I'm hoping for sub 2m 05s lap times in fast group as my target with my new setup.
Cheers fella Need my suspension set up for me before the next one which i think may help me a bit. It was only my second bike trackday and always a bit nervous on the road bike as i can't afford to write it off! Looking at doing 3 at Snett next year, hopefully by the end i'll be well into inters. There were plenty of inters/fast group in my novice group on this day and i wasn't too far off some inters (but a LONG way off the fast guys!!!). I'm also determined to crack that first corner, got quicker and quicker as the day went on but was still getting taken around the outside of it by fast group guys, lol! p.s. sub 2.05 is gonna be QUICK!!!
