Yep, sold my mint condition 954 today, so have been on the look already !!! Seeing what prices the CB1000R's are going for and have decided on a Tricolour in ABS form.

Just need to find a mint one for the right price i guess. I will post some pics when i find the right one.

Buy the ABS, and get free anal sphincter muscle workouts when it forgets to stop......dearer than a gym membership but you probably don't work that muscle much in the gym to be fair.

Now now folks both Honda and VOSA have done very thorough testing on A bike with ABS and didn't find any problems with the brakes on it. Oh and none of the Honda dealer network has ever had any problems with the Honda ABS systems or had to carry out warranty repairs or replace any ABS parts that Honda are aware of..........

So you can't say there are any issues with regards to the Honda ABS system, I mean your just the rider so what would you know? Honda Corp don't make mistakes do they?
Well ok there was the whole piston ring issue in 08 but that was the maker of the rings not Honda's fault right.........I figure it best not to mention Honda motor companies history with flaws or recalls........but Honda don't make mistakes do they??? :D

    Congrats on the sale

Good luck with the search for the CB1000R I still have an Akrapovic Titanium can as new and BMC Air filter for it if your interested, I will do the pair delivered for £350 !

They are a great bike, I loved the time I spent with mine, but ultimately I missed the blade :)

I hope you find the bike you want there are plenty of good used ones at very good prices out there, my 13 plate with 5800 miles is up for £6795 at Bransons in immaculate condition.

Again like the others ABS ? I did 6000 miles in all weathers and never once needed or wanted it !

Jamie someone has attacked your pic and put some right shite in there mate!

As for a cb1000 I do like the colour of Jamie's old one, sounded horrible when he was explaining it before it turned up but is really nice when you see it, plus he chucked loads of money at it so would be worth a look

no way! the 917 was the bollox, still carburated, wicked fairing and good paint jobs a rock solid 90,000 mile engine In my experience.
Having said that, Id have any Blade!!!

Thanks for all the info, as i understand it the ABS on the Cb is not the same system as on the Blade, i understand its the older linked brakes version not the electronic one on the CBR ..... Or am i missing something ?

And thanks for the info on the blade which was chopped in, i will have a look at it.

That's true the ABS on the CB1Kr is totally different, more intrusive but absolutely reliable
