Just back from a great ride to the south coast with a load of other bikes, mines been in the garage for months due to the rubbbish weather so this was the first decent ride of the year with some distance. On the way home though my left hand was killing me! It was obviously from using the clutch all the time, I've not noticed any pain in my hand before so I'm wondering if it's just me being the first ride of the year or if it's going to continue then is there any way to make the clutch lever lighter? I've got PP tuning shorty adjustables fitted and never had an issue with them before. I adjusted them as I was riding to allow less clutch lever travel and that felt a bit better but surely having less travel with not engage/disengage the clutch fully each time the lever is used?

Have you tried undoing the clutch lever bolts (bolts which hold it to the bar) and adjusting the lever down. Worked for me because I'm sitting high over the bars abit. I was getting cramp in my wrist and that sorted it for me (no jokes please :D)

I will try that next time I go out for a ride, thanks James.

Forgot to mention, turn the bars lock to lock after adjustment and check the levers dont touch anything.

I've had to do this with every bike I've had for the last ten years now, bloody age catching up with me, but at least the clutch less shifting is easy on the blade compared to some I've had.

The guys are right. I tend to rest my weight on my wrists and lean well forward over the yoke. This easy adjustment eases the discomfort quite a lot. But you will need to check your lock stops afterwards and check them with your hands on the grips so you know you won't trap them against the fairing.
