Since i have killed another blade, My no claims are taking a bit of a knock this time as i hit a bloody horse. I am having to find a smaller bike to ride. I will get back to a blade but prob in a couple of years when my no claims are back up. So I am buying this. Honda CBR600F F4i, 57 Plate, Red (Red/Silver) | eBay Its a mates bike and he is letting me have it for £3500 and including things like gear indicator, haynes manual and stuff. Also with the payout from the blade i will be able to buy her a few extras too. Its only untill i get no claims up again. Got a quote for another rr5 blade today. £1600 they want for a year. Thats what being 26 having only 3 years no claims and 2 accidents in 2 years dose to your premiums. The 600 is £560 a year so thats bad enough. Thats what i pay for the blade now. I had a 1997 cbr600f before the blades so just going back to what i know. Please dont hate me. Can i still be a member?
Wounded in action is all mate. And you're buying what I consider the best all around bike ever built.
Blue, just happy you are alright mate, after all that’s really the main thing. I paid £550 last year for my 2011 blade and I am 50 ffs. That’s what happens when you take an enforced sabbatical and lose all your NCB. Hopefully it will be a bit cheaper when I renew in July. Chin up fella your still standing.
Was the bike a write off Blue. If not why not spend some of that dosh on repairs ?Keep the blade and the ncb.
I'm not sure mate. Bike got taken away yesterday for inspection and cost of repair. I'm not keeping the blade purely because I refuse to pay over £1000 for insurance let alone £1600
You'll be back before you know it mate. Like many have said, at least you & the GF are OK. It could have been a lot worse.
It's still a great bike your getting and it's a Honda, insurance is a killer so enjoy the 600 and you will be back with a blade before you know it hope you get a good deal for the blade off the insurance company
That's a bugger for you, but your all here to live another day so just a minor setback in the grand scheme of things! I'm sure the couple years to rebuild your NBC will fly by, chin up!!
Because of the uk's weather you will only miss 5 nice ridding days before the time comes round to step back up to the blade again so i wouldnt worry too much
Dont remind me. Out of 17 bike nights this year only on 3 nights has there not been any rain, its just been a horrid start to the season
