As title says really. I was out on the bike today and thought it was revving too high for the speed I was doing. As it turns out it seems to be reading about 8-10 mph to low ???. Any ideas people. I can only assume I've upset something when swapping the fairings on Saturday but don't know really. Cheers
there was a known fault on some 04-05 models with the speedo sensor. could be this, is it out by much.
here ya go Recall Details for HONDA MOTORCYCLES - CBR1000RR-4 was a recall so not sure if it will still get replaced if you flag it with the dealer
When I went through a nearby village they have one of them display things that shows your speed. It flashed up to slow down and was showing 49mph. When I looked down at my own dash I was doing 38 mph !!. I'll get in touch with my local dealer and see what they say about that recall. Cheers or that Phantom
just double check with a sat nav.stick it in your pocket then see what max speed it says your doing compared to what the speedo says.
Ah well back to square one as the replacement speedo sensor I acquired STILL hasn't cured problem Think I'll just have to get Mr Honda to fix it. It's started making clicking noises from front. Seems to coming from the steering damper/ignition barrel area ???. Sounds like its trying to reset something ?? The bike has started diving badly and slowing right down when you wind off the throttle. It feels like front brakes are sticking on but they're fine !. Just can't fathom out what's happened here like
Its hard to explain but its awful to ride at the moment. Phoned my local dealer to see about booking it in but they are busy at the moment and I away with work on weds for 2 weeks so bike will be laid up till further notice
