    Hello all...

Heres my dilemma of the day !! I have quite big legs and find leather jeans real restrictive ! I appreciate that their restrictiveness is one of the properties that helps hold you together when you have a spill, but for general blatting about i need something a bit more mobile that i can move about more in !
I ride best in just a pair of jeans but loosing my knees does play on my mind sometimes. I have a nice pair of halvarsson trousers but they are more, extreme weather/touring/exploring trousers. Damn good trousers though !

What I'm after is something sporty, protecting, movable and preferably with knee sliders !

    Any ideas ??

Go for "Draggin" Jeans............ I'm the same as you, thick thighs and tried a couple of brands before going with one of the first manufacturers in the field.

Draggin Jeans now with FREE armour

Quite a few places down south that sell them too, check out their web site and their stockists.

If your ever in the Pompey area feel free to give me a shout for a coffee or a burger at Big Micks burger van on Portsdown Hill.

Jeez Sinewave, nice but I've got way too much carbon to buy to justify that kinda money on trousers :) !

Hi Jim, i have considered drag gin jeans for sunday afternoons sitting outside a pub somewhere doing a bit of tyre kicking and stuff but some reason they still don't give me the confidence I'm after for true scratching if you know what i mean ! I want like a leather/textile mix maybe, with hip and knee armour and sliders but never seen such things yet ! I did notice on sportbikeshop a big selection that i never knew existed so i will have to check some of them out but unfortunately still no sliders ! I'll probably have to go down the old school route of gaffer taping squashed beer cans to my knees :) !

As for meeting up Jim, I'm all over that idea ! Give it a few weeks for the weather to start behaving and I'm there !!

    Cheers guys...

    Made to measure?

Expensive.... But decent quality will last you years. And can't put a price on protection IMO.

Would never go out on a proper ride in jeans, textiles or even Kevlar jeans.
Each to their own and all, just like a bit of leather, armour and knee sliders lol

And you could prob get a 1 piece made for the price of those rukkas ;)

Hi JM... Those are really nice ! Ive been looking at some furygan leather/textile mix sports jeans but those havarssons are the nuts ! I live and die in mine and they have never let a drop of damp in, never got cold and I've had them in some extremely shite weather conditions ! You get what you pay for with them !

    Cheers dude

I've got a RST Sports 2-piece textile set. Had it for about 5 years. Ridden through a couple of nasty winters and still going strong. Removable lining so still quite cool in the summer. Don't think they make my set anymore but it's very similar to this one:

RST Blade Textile Jacket | rst-moto.com

    No sliders tho :(

I think I'm just going to have to invent some ! like a kevlar/textile cargo pant with leather in the vital contact areas for when your bouncing down the road on your arse or knees.. Fully armoured... Sliders for some heroic roundabout action.. but with still enough movement to perform Chuck Norris scissor kicked if need be... Hmmm... Im surprised Icon haven't come up with some kinda Street style scratcher trouser built for such activities ! I have a vision ! If Icon, furyigan etc read this, give me a shout !It could be the start of something beautiful :)

I am on the look out for the same thing. I think the Alpinestars A-10 Sports pants is probably what you are looking for, however, they don't seem to be available in the UK?
