O.k everyone, now i don't know if this has been sugested before? But here goes. have the mods etc considered calling cards to spread the word of this forum? i guess by reading the threads its always a point to try and expand the 1000rr comunity? You get the idea, out for a ride you park up and theres another fire blade, drop a card on their seat with the forum details and perhaps your user name for here, or you could leave some on your own seat for people to pick up? some may make their way into phone boxes, even better do we still use phone boxes I would guess the card then has 4 chances. 1 it will get blown away never to be seen again? 2 it will get picked up and given a damn good ignoring and thrown on the floor. 3 Someone tries to claim the person who put the card there damaged their bike? 4 the person gets home logs on to their computer and joins our ever increasing Family? Anyway i have been playing about with some cards with the 1000rr logo, a picture of my bike, and my user name, but my competence is limited in the electronic world now if this could be done by other member I.e someone who can actually use a computer as intended? we could perhaps have it as a sticky where anyone wishing to do so can download a template, edit their own details accordingly for said cards and print off as many or as few as you wish. so over to you guys who like to add on.
Yeah Rob was on the case the last time we suggested it We have talked about a downloadable A4 sheet of cards that you could print at home , cut out and go out and stick on fire blades you see out and about but Rob wanted to keep them looking professional I would keep a load under my seat ready to slot between fireblade seats as i spot them
Just thought it would be something else to the forum numbers, practically little or no outlay to 1000rr, and let's be honest, regarding print quality there's hardly a crap printer on the Market now a days,? just needs a design mods are happy with for members who wish to do this can download at their own will.
I think its a banging idea mate . I suggested the self print and cut out option but Rob said he would prefer to get some proper cards printed and send them out to members on request . Ill have a word and see if i can get the go ahead on self print options or if i can get the ball rolling on him supplying them to us . Im pretty sure if we get some mock up cards on here and he sees one he likes then we will get the thumbs up to make them downloadable to the forum I can host a link from my .Mac account for peeps to download from Lets get some mock ups going then lads . If someone sends me a design format, I know a couple of printers that will do it at cost. If it ain't mega dough, I'll square it. Maybe four types, blanks for regular users to hand out. And robs / dans & remals user names on as mods... Let me know if ya need a hand. Kpone might be your man though????
