Wasn't planning a ride today, but the weathers great, so I'm going for a bimble about, I should be at Squires around 12ish if anyone fancies it.

Cool. It took me weeks of practise (6 months ish). And even now I have to work on it; and do it on warm days. Yesterday is probably the last day for knee down in 2014 for me.

Being an 'Old School' Geoff Duke/Mike(The Bike) Hailwood style of rider (i.e. both knees gripping the tank at all times) I was a little surprised earlier on this year, whilst on the forum ride-out up the A44, to see (as we whizzed round one of those few and far between fast, open left-handers) a fellow member in front of me with his knee well planted on the tarmac and the smell of a melting slider wafting my way. I actually glanced down to see how far my own knee was from the road and, though I was gaining on him slightly, it looked about a foot or so to me. Ah well, 'Different Strokes for Different Folks' I guess, and I can leave those pristine knee-sliders that came with the suit gathering dust on the shelf. ;)
