hi guys after having some problem with my charging system finally i removed the stator and did a continuity test on it

there is 3 cables from stator (yellow)
when i touch to 1 of the terminals and than the casing of the stator it tells me there is continuity

to me this is shorting might be as a result if overheating to me
    but am i wrong

if tha stator was ok than there must be no continuity between the cables and the casing isnt it??

    please share your thought
yes i know i did not need to remove the stator to test the continuity but i wanted to see how it looks becaue till this morning i had no quality multitester.

only 1 area looks very dark the rest is not too bad really.

please let me now what you thinking

You should have continuity and a very small resistance between phases and nothing between a phase and ground
