Having only just acquired the blade and it only been my second litre sportsbike the first was an 04 R1 which had a standard damper fitted.it sometimes feels a bit light/twitchy on the front end now it could be down to tyre pressure, cold tarmac or me not being used to the bike any thoughts on steering dampers?

Re your suspension, there's an air ambulance fundraiser at Jordans Bikes Leeds on 21st, it's advertised in mcn and seems they have a full suspension set up on the day for £40 you just have to ring n book ahead....I might pop up & have mine done

I've also come from a 04 R1 ... the blade has a lighter feeling front end and takes some getting used too... the standard electronic damper on the Fireblade is very good.

Fitted a GPR this winter on my 954 which has no electronic damping at all so may be not a like for like comparison. I felt I needed it on my bike. At times the front end got a little twitchy and I didn't want to risk it any longer. Easy to fit but I found it took time to get used to despite having it on the lowest setting.
