Just read an online review by Muck Crap & Nonsense about the 04 -05 blade. It states the steering damper 'can be altered electronically on the hoof'. Can anyone tell me how this is achieved? Bought mine 2nd hand and dont have an owners manual.

It's done automatically with the bike mate. Not something that you can do yourself if that's what you meen.

All you can do is test it, search testing the HESD as I posted how to do it.. :)

MCN wording slightly misleading then. Obviously meaning it alters itself.

with the hrc ecu (and lead and software) you can program the hesd and control how much damping it provides at different throttle positions/speed.. as others have said as standard it adjusts automatically , according to preset values in the ecu

ps: grp all the way ;)

Yes nutty you get the mil light and code for hesd fault, search .net for plug and I will have a look too, its that or strip down a hesd to just the servo and stash it under the tank.
