Guys, i have noticed just recently on my 11 plate Blade that sometimes when i come to a stop im getting a strange grinding type of noise coming from somewhere on the bike.

At first i assumed this was one of the brakes, probably the rear as i think i may be able to feel it through my foot. i was out on Saturday and it did it once but i wasn't braking. it did it again on Sunday and i was braking but i only heard the noise twice in probably 90 miles over 2 days, one damp, one dry.

Anyone have any idea what this could be? the noise does sound like when you brake on a mountain bike which has been left stood for a while but i have had my disk and pads out and cleaned so not sure it can be that.

Could it possibly be a bearing on its way out?

My bike done similar to this first time I went out on it. took it back to the garage and it was a seal in the calliper.
Mine was a noise like the mountain bike but rattled through the handle bars too. Suppose it was a quite bad on mine as they replaced all the front pads and disc too!

Well they told me it was a seal [emoji848]

Well I am having a bit of bother with my back brake so maybe it is that? I'm taking it into Jordan bikes for them to look at it. its been in once already and they cleaned them all but said they couldn't find anything.

Have you had the bike up in the air to narrow it down a bit. Should be easier to find with both wheels off the ground.

Not yet, im going to get the back end up when i next get chance and make sure everything is smooth and in line. it could even be a warped rear disk or something i guess which only makes the sound at low speeds but its very rare it happens. i have no idea. im starting to think its not a bearing at all but im no mechanic.
