Cheers. Can you swap a subframe from an abs bike to a non abs if you keep the original battery tray?

Don’t know to be honest, but the ABS one is a lot deeper looking at the manual than the none abs version.

A few places seem to advertise as 08 to 16 but other list 08 to 11 and 12 to 16 o_O

I think that’s a question for a dealer or someone with access to their microfiche to compare actual part numbers

    Hi mate
Don't quote me :) but I think the metal side rails are the same part number (if they are the same colour).

Have a look on Fowlers website under the parts bit.

The ABS has a different plastic battery tray so I imagine you can just swap the trays over.

The Subframe itself the same through 08-16 no difference at all. The abs battery tray is different to non abs. Also 1 of the brackets different as rectifier bolts to that on abs models. But still fits fine.

The abs tray sits alot lower etc.
So if you getting a subframe from a abs bike, fitting it to a non abs bike is perfectly fine. Just use your non abs plastic tray and bolt on and go

As @vic_ster51 says.......subframe is exactly the same, only the battery/under tray is different.

So I think I was concerned over nothing anyways as didn't SP bikes start from 2012?

Never thought I'd be doing this job again but hopefully having a couple of extra holes which no one will take a second look at will be worth the pain :D

SP were 2014. There subframe fits you just can’t mount rear pegs and or the brackets that replace them
