Good as your word sir.......hopefully I will be there and last a tad longer than yesterday....have a good and safe trip to Moto GP
Never been for any ride outs (ever) so I would love to come on this one. Not sure me old limbs will cope with that many miles but Im game for trying. Never knew of High Beech either and it seems to be right by me Ill save me 2ps and 1ps for petrol and Hopefully Ill be there.
if you haven't taken the b1063 from newmarket to clare, i'd recommend it you'll see very little traffic.. and you can then loop up to haverhill for the b1057 (via the a1092/a1017/a143)
Copied from the Headlights on an RR-A thread: Thanks for the invite to the ride out. I will bear it in mind and depending on the weather, if my back is better and Ling doesn’t have "something more important" that needs doing I would love to tag along. Maybe meet at the Green Welly truck stop for a cuppa just outside Chatteris. It looks like your route will take you right passed it. Maybe SimonRR, Carl, Fordy and Fireblade46 might want to join the party as they are not far away either. Let’s touch base nearer the time.
Damn i wanna come!! The Ramsey through St Neots are my home grounds and awesome roads!! Doesn't look like I'll have the cheque from the insurers in time to pick up the bike Saturday and join you guys
Still a few days away but the weather is looking dry at the moment. Who's still in ? Shortlist abv illywhites thezipsteruk jimbo davev vino lcr martinowen Freedom of choice navvy10 if he gets his bike in time
Gonna have to count me out I'm affraid guys, I now have to work this weekend and my heads not in it at the mo, sorry guys
If I can be totally honest, I would really love to come and meet you guys and have good ride...BUT. Im a bit worried about the length of the ride, Im old and decrepid and not certain it would stay fun for that long especially on the GOD awfull Dunlop Qualifiers I have fitted (this current weather is scary with them). I only post this because Im not sure how you guys work, do you all do the whole route etc. Sorry for being a big girl but would rather find out than simply drop out at this stage
As with any ride out it's all about what you want out of it. Never put unnesacery pressure on yourself doing more than you are capable/wanting to do, where's the enjoyment in that? As you said, it's great to meet up with the folks on here, no ones going to slag you off if you don't do the full route. Just enjoy the bit you do
Zippy Last time I went out with these guys i had a great laugh mate, if your struggling they don't leave you behind, I couldn't go the full journey in the end last time due to pain in my knee so just gave them the signal and pulled off home. Really good bunch of guys and was well worth the pain Give it a go mate
As said mate, turn up, do it all, some or just meet for a brew at one of the pit stops No pressure at all, more about getting out and having a laugh with the fellas!!
OK, Wicked stuff all sounds good to me, weather being kind ill be there then! My wife will have a heart attack to see me get up at that time in the morning on a Sunday!!
