Sorry guys, I've rebuilt a few engines in my time, I do all my own servicing, but suspension, is a mystery to me. How can I reset to factory? Which bits do I turn to where? I havent messed with the actual large adjustments of the rear shock... Can anyone tell me specification... Turn specific outer to this and inner to that? Any guidance so gratefully received
Honda stock suspension settings Forks Preload - 6 turns in a clockwise direction Rebound -2.25 turns counter clockwise (for example turn the adjuster clockwise as far as it will go then come back 2.25 turns) Compression - 2 turns counter clockwise (2.25 for ABS) Shock Preload - Position 4 Rebound - 2.25 turns counter clockwise Compression - 2.5 turns counter clockwise Hope this helps
If you haven't adjusted suspension before, don't over tighten the rebound and compression adjusters. "As far as it goes" means until you feel resistance, not tight. Having put all the adjustments back to stock, then you should check the Rider Sag measurements, and adjust accordingly.
OK ... so at the risk of sounding a total moron. Which bit does what.? The Forks have adjustment on the top and the bottom both with inner and outter adjustment. What does what? Turn fork top outer in and then out to? Turn fork top inner in and then out to? Thats how simple it needs to be. I have no idea what these fekkers do. BTW just to make sure you don't think too badly off me, I did scratch build a Honda 6 and I used to own one of the country's wildest 350LC's ... but suspension ... know nothing me ... Show me how guys she rides like sh1t OH and my ex binned my manual, along with dinner suit, my cashmere overcoat, my draggin jeans, some handmade shoes, my watch, and shit loads of other stuff .. so take pity on me ))))
Where do you live Jake ? If you are close enough to me I'll happily set it all up for you and show you how. Failing that I'll check which forks and shock were fitted to the 2010 blade and write it all down for you.
