Hi, just wondered if anyone has suspension settings as a base for around about a 12 stone rider. Yes I realise they can vary on loads of thing but would be handy to have some as a base :)

If you could let everyone know what year of Blade you have then someone will have settings. I put something up for a 2004 cbr1000rr and sulaco on here gave me a benchmark which has worked out well on the road. I have put the settings sulaco suggested below.

    04/05
    FRONT SUSPENSION:

Spring preload-Adjust the preload adjuster on the fork leg with a 22mm spanner by turning it counter clockwise until it lightly seats.Thereafter, turn it clockwise 7 turns.

Rebound damping- Turn the screw adjuster clockwise until it lightly seats, then turn it counter clockwise 2 turns. 2.5 for 06/07

Compression damping- Turn the small screw adjuster on the bottom of the fork leg clockwise until it lightly seats, then turn it counter clockwise approx. 2 turns until the punch mark aligns.

    REAR SUSPENSION.

Rebound damping- turn the screw adjuster on the bottom of the shock clockwise until it lightly seats. Then turn it counter clockwise approx.2 1/2 turns until the punch marks align.

Compression damping- turn the screw adjuster on the remote reservoir clockwise until it lightly seats, then turn it counter clockwise about 9 clicks so that the punch marks align.

Spring preload- The spring preload adjuster is in the standard position in position 4 of the 10 on the collar.

Factory settings shouldn't be too far off for someone weighing 12st. It's us (slightly)heavier guys that need a bit more tweeking:D

If it's done a bit of miles and never had the fork oil changed, I would do that, totally transformed my bike, but I did get suspension set as well, but I'm 14st
