After many trackdays and tires, i decided to check / adjust my suspension. Tire wear has been very nice, so i have not been to worried about the suspension beeing all wrong. I feel like the front is a bit stiff, but after measuring sag im not sure anymore. Hope someone can help.

My front sag is measured at 36mm. Rear sag is 38mm. I do 5-10 trackdays a year, and around 10 000km road riding with this bike. I weigh 90kg with all riding gear.

I also put a zip tie on the front fork, to see how much it is compressing, see picture.

I have not touched the preload, compression or rebound at all. I think previous owner set it up.
After seeing sag figures, it looks like its good?

Anyways, i feel like the bike is pretty balanced on track. But i feel like the front could give me more feedback, its a bit vague. And i also feel like its a bit stiff.

    Any thoughts are welcome

What tyre pressures are you running at the track?

Suspension setup is like witchcraft for some. Its best to get you're sag and rider sag sorted first and then start to make in roads with the rebound and compression adjusters to get it spot on.

How old is the fork oil etc on the bike?

Unless you're going to change springs you're better off measuring and setting your static sag.

That will give you a good base to work with. I go with 8mm rear and 23mm front for track use. You can then tweak.

Btw, looking at the travel on the front I'd agree it's a bit stiff. I'd take a turn off front preload for a start. You're loosing a good 20 mm travel looking at that cable tie

I agree with Dazzler, take out some preload, then you might need to take out a little rebound and compression as they go hand in hand
