I went through this with my mate the other day, one of my friends got stung massive on the tax into the country it wasn't even worth buying it because he got charge 20 percent vat and all other customs and handling fees
The other option is to update it to the newer Showa shock but obviously not as good as Ohlins or Ktech.
does any of you guys know much about bitubo I have a good deal on front internals and rear shock from Italy do you know if there any good
A couple of BSB teams use them so they must be decent. I know a few club racers that use them, not heard anything bad about them.
Have seen their logo in Kiyo's leathers. Doesn't mean they are any good, but they advertise on an expensive part of the leathers.
Hey Lee, I just got one from the US, It delivered for less than £600 and no import taxes. Welcome To Kyle Racing's Online Store
yep they are very good, and getting a better reputation as time goes and more and more people are using them.,very easy to alter settings, and very well made.
juat looked on the web site and the shock in pounds is £780 minus delivery!! If you were lucky enough to get the shock delivered without taxes and just a postage charge, I'm guessing you'll be paying £810ish.
I contacted them from ebay and asked for a cash deal, I paid $900 delivered, I think it works out £591 to the door and no taxes no tricks He also told me they usualy retail at $1529 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271657715427
Nice one fella, just goes to show what a rip off country we live in. Where a new SP is the same price in dollars in the States as pounds in Blighty.....
Have to agree with red5, Rip Off Britain. Have had lots of parts from the USA over the years for different bikes - so much cheaper.
