    What electronics are you after on the Honda and why?

    I think it's a cracking looking bike, apart from the indicators (both from and rear). All bikes simply have to move on, electronic control will improve safety and hopefully save lives. Honda need to step up to the game, the Blade is looking very dated.

    Electronics are the inevitable future as they will improve performance and safety.

    Look at when the top riders struggled with 500cc bikes and compare them against the modern moto gp bikes. Maybe a season of no electronics would show the bikes to be near enough un-rideable, and they definitely wouldn't be doing the lap times they are. As for how many riders would be alive or uninjured at the end of the season, I dread to think.

    Personally I want selectable rider mode. I'm no rider god and some days it would be nice to have some help with conditions and even my mood. I also want traction control, not for performance and speed but to help me when I get it wrong. Same for ABS, albeit not Honda's current abortion of C-ABS.

    Honda may not want to do it on road bikes and that is their call. If they want a "purer" bike then I'm sure there is and will be a market for it, not sure how big that market is but there will be one.

    My call is to go elsewhere if they don't step up to the mark soon.

    I'm not a fan of Gixxers, never have been but i have to admit, this bike looks great, if its reasonably priced ill be very tempted. i just wish they could do some better colour schemes.

    Seems to me that the old girl is still holding her own. By rights the price should be in bold as well. Thats taken from a review of the new ZX10 in the May issue of bike.

    I challenge anyone to find the current blade 'slow' or underpowered on a road test - those figures pure willy waving pub talk and rider skill / usability is the key thing to make progress

    I wonder of the DCT semi auto will be on the 2017 blade, along with QS, cruise control and who knows what else but with the current chassis and power boosted engine ? The blade is also way cheaper than £12k new

    "Usability" is the authors explanation of the fireblade having the best 0-60 time. I don't think the blade needs any rider aids in current form and would no doubt make it a lesser bike if it did have the full suite. I can see why some bikes benefit from them though.

    Totally agree. So much talk of how the blade is old and slow, much better to get a Kwak or BM as they're proper fast. If anyone says they can ride any of these bikes to their limits on the road, I would say they are dreaming.

    Funny that, I had a K5 750 Anniversary, cracking bike, but then went and bought a RR6 to replace my 954, and the 750 never made it out of the garage after that, and finally sold it after not using it for ages. Litre bikes made 750s irrelevant IMO.
