    Hi All

I'm pretty crap at DIY and other than cleaning my Blade, checking tyre pressures from time to time, filling up with petrol and actually riding it I leave most other things to my dealer !

However I'm tempted to buy either an R&G or Evotech tail tidy. Simple question: how easy are they to fit to a 2013 machine ? I'm happy to retain standard indicators. Any issues with electrics/number plate light etc. Remember I'm no mechanic !

    Cheers

Prefer the R&G one as all the cables & connectors actually go back under the seat, where as the evotech one you have to cable tie or tape the connectors to the tail tidy. Looks un sightly in my opinion .

This is how the R&G looks , you'll have to get somebody to post a pic of the evotech to see what I'm saying

If I can do it, then anyone can mate.
I fitted the Yoshimura one to mine, and the most difficult part is getting your cable out of the existing tail unit without breaking the plastic.
I have also now fitted 3 of the R&G ones to 600RR's.
Now they ARE a pain in the arse, and I never want to do one of them again.

I bought Stevie_D's Evotech version as I didn't like the R&G...conclusive proof that were all different.
Although looking at Steve's pic mine was a different version so looks like they do two, mine had side rail like arrangement.
But I do know what he means about the cables not he Evotech, but I like the way it looks and it is an absolutely breeze to put on, especially with standard indicators.
Although I swapped mine for some Horny Rizomas.

sorry about the scuzz...it rained lol

That looks better on yours than it did on mine, there was a great big connector on mine inside a big black rubber boot. Tried taping up etc but looked shit. Have you removed it zippy and done a wee bit of soldering to neaten things up ?
P.s how do you go to bed and sleep at night with a dirty bike like that lol

Removed one boot yes but still another in the tail unit, which I squeezed indicator resistors into too.
No soldering at all, just invested in some japanese style crimpers with OE connectors...brilliant kit and cheep too.

what you talking about thats cleaner than usual lol
Here a my Repsol to set your OCD off! lol

Gents. Thanks for the info. I will take the plunge in the next week or two. R&G seems the way forward for me. Now where is that adjustable spanner of mine ? :)
