Ok guys i have been looking into getting a tall screen for the blade. I'm a tall chap and think I would feel a benefit both when stretching the cable and also on motorway runs when I do them. Has anyone used one before? Opinions? I was looking at this type of thing: Performance, Race & Track day parts, Padgetts of Batley Honda CBR1000 '08 HM Plant Tall Race Screen. New | eBay Zero Gravity Sport Touring Screen - CBR 1000 Fireblade - FREE UK DELIVERY not sure if they do it for RR08-11?? not sure what a clear screen would look like on the red and black blade. Photoshop anyone?
I have the Honda racing screen on the blade, tinted and looks good on the bike - some peeps say the wind blast is re-directed into their chin/face area but I'm 5'10" and can't say I've experienced an issue. For me definitely money well spent !!
Same as Neil, genuine honda tall screen will allow you to(stretch) the cable, the best mod I've done on the blade. Just buy one bud. Simples.
Another using the Honda racing screen. used for TD, touring and road riding. may only be 24 mil higher but at 6ft 2" it's more than enough for me
Have you guys got any pics of the honda racing screen? Im sure I have seen it before. "honda racing" written up the edge of it. I currently run a tallish screen not the tiny original one. Im 6ft4 so was just thinking about getting a slightly taller one.
Cheers for the link JM1. Ive ended up buying a skidmarx Mcguinness tall screen in clear. I wanted something tall and can get behind, sure it will do the trick. The screens are very popular with road racers, however I have ordered the road version for better fitting to the original fairing.
