So i have chinese plastics on my bike but as @nigelrb pointed out the badges on the tank have the 'wing' pointing in the wrong direction, anyone have any idea how to remove them from the circular recess on the tank plastic so i can swap sides with them

    Huh?

Anyway. I have done a change over of OEM badges and found that gently prising them out with a not too sharp kitchen knife removed them easily. They're stuck with only a thin perimeter bead of bonding. (It's only one side you have to do as I recall?)

Some one previously suggested fishing line, but I don’t think it was on the forum - might have been YouTube

Dental floss works on windcreen mounted stuff like dashcams.

Fishing line might work on a flush mount badge/fitting, but remember - these badges are recessed, so you'd have to get a fair hunk prised off before you could get the line under. This isn't just my opinion; I have it on authority from:

Cheers I’ll give that a try with a bit of cloth between the tank and knife. I thought it was just the one side but it looks like the badges are both wrong so just going to swap sides with them hopefully

I used a hairdryer and a knife to just raise the badge enough to get under the edge and easy after that
