Lovely lid. I’ve been riding in X-lites for a few years now, having switched from Arai.

Personally I find them far comfier and the visors appear to be of higher quality too. The best part about them however is how effective the vent system is. With them closed the helmet is warm even in winter (unlike my Arai’s) and in summer you can get brilliant cooling.

    Great choice!

Gee, we're all on a spending spree! I agree though, a bike's not a bike without the appropriate helmet!!

    This is my 3rd X-Lite.

I bought Arai's for over 20 years and having a dodgy neck I wanted to find something lighter, which got me onto the carbon X-Lites. Great lids.

I mentioned in another helmet thread about the build quality and fit/finish. Great value for the money, can't see me ever buying another Arai. Shameless pic no.2. ;)

New bike's an excuse for a bit of a spend.

Just waiting for the Puig screen to show up from Germany, then I'll stick the Eazi-Grip tank grip on. After that I think it'l be the single seat cowl and the quick shifter. Then I think the Mrs might notice.

I've been thinking of getting a new lid for a while now but the Mrs bought me my last one for my birthday a couple of years ago and i'm not sure she would look favourably on the idea, plus i have a couple of spares in the wardrobe. i love it that much i'd have to get another HJC though, for comfort, features and styling its by far the best lid i've ever had the privelidge of messing up my barnet for!

HJC rpha plus 10 Lorenzo rep is my current noggin protection. I like to think mine is slightly different to the many others you see out and about though!

There were two on my original shopping list, the X-Lite and the HJC. Tried a couple of places and I just couldn't find anywhere with the HJC in my size to try on. One guy even offered to order me one as long as I bought it.

I'd got quite a few helmets knocking around so it didn't go down too well when I said I was going to buy the first X-Lite. I found that people buy used lids on EBay though, so I justified new lids by selling the old ones. I'd never buy a used helmet myself but I'd got a couple of limited edition Arai's collecting dust, so I sold them as collectables. Got some decent cash for them.

You could tell the Mrs that you've become attached to the lid she's bought you and you want to save it for "special days". ;)

Yeah.....like 'for best' that should do it haha.

I'm already looking.........another HJC rpha plus 10 as an every day use helmet is in the pipeline, ive seen a non race rep that should go with my leathers and bike, got spare visors in black, smoke and clear so it makes sense to stick with the same brand.....who am i trying to convince haha!:D
