Hi All So, I've only had the blade a few months and already want rid of the exhaust! Spotted these from America.. . https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/GP-Slip-on...-Racing-TMRH8-08-11-Honda-Cbr1000rr/661710453 Anybody got one? Or know much about them. I think it looks great and finishes the bike off perfectly. Thoughts?
I'm hoping there's a UK supplier still that can do it cheaper. If it last the life of the bike, id pay that
@Spygoat has one on his Repsol. Pics on this thread: https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/taylormade-rear-hugger.36510/page-2#post-479046 He logs on regularly so will surely give you the lowdown!
they come up 2nd hand more than u think if u don't fancy paying full wack, I like the look, but they don't perform the best, think u even lose bhp
Thanks for the input everyone. Will do a bit of homework and see what to do. Might be heading for a scorpion gp. Bike is currently at hammer and tongs in Warrington getti g a health check and mot
Nah mate, if it isn’t Akrapovic leave the standard one on. The other ones make undue annoying noise or are a total waste of money.
I have got an SC Project CRT Titanium exhaust fitted to my Repsol Blade, it is pretty loud, even with a baffle in, but god it sounds so sweet, just need to make some brackets so I can fit the carbon fibre infill panel, then it will look a lot better.
If done right (with filter, pair valves and flapper valves removed) it will prob make around 5 extra hp. But def best looking exhaust imho. Had mine for 37000 miles and love it. Around 800 us new.
Never had an issue with mine, but my bike rarely sees inclement weather as it is mostly a track bike now.
