Tech Q Can Anyone Help

    Since installing a recent update on my Hudl I've ended up with a ? mark over the wifi symbol on the left and an ! mark over the wifi on the right as per the pic. The only way I can now link into wifi like today at Costa is by clicking the old O2 wifi tab at the top! I was getting a message that said something about a portal!?!
    I've Googled the problem but don't understand the answers probably because I'm an imbecile when it comes to IT :(
    Can anyone help me sort it pls in step by step simples instructions

    You probably just have to set the wifi protocols up again.

    Probably just a security update to the wifi settings I would have thought. I don't own a Hudl so can't be more specific.
    Try deleting the wifi connection and re-establishing it.

    The exclamation mark means it can't talk to the interporn over the WiFi. If it's your home WiFi try deleting and re-adding the connection.

    If you are on a WiFi connection in somewhere like Costa or McDs you have to go to a page first. Try going to google and see what it does. The WiFi should intercept it and give you a login page if it wants you to log in etc.

    Failing that I may be at a loose end at the start of Dec and can meet you at Barlborough, Gainsborough or somewhere and have a look for you.

    Android lollipop added a new symbol icon for the wifi logo here's the description.

    Exclamation mark on the Wi-Fi symbol
    If your phone’s running Android 5.0 Lollipop, you might see this new symbol.     Don't have a clue about the ? In top left corner tho, is the hudl a cellular and wifi tablet or just wifi?

    What happens if you swipe down over the '?'

    Yep turned it off n on several times & no joy. It's wifi only.
    I've tried exuptoys suggestion but until I get to a wifi spot on my travels tomorrow I won't know if it's worked!
    The update also changed my keyboard & I hate the new one :(
