...and yes, that's tempers not temperatures!! Queuing up for lunch at the outdoor cafe and a fight breaks out between 2 riders just down the way. One of them comes back to his large mates stood just in front of us, clearly wound up and blowing his lid when another TDer comes up to him and says, "You'd better come with me". Bloke replies, "I'm alright". Other bloke says, "I don't think you understand, I'm a copper. Come with me" and strongarmed him off into the office! Soon after two marked police cars turn up and he's frogmarched off in cuffs. End of his day, it would seem. PS. The new 4-group Brands TDs that No Limits are now doing suck balls. They've kept the sessions at 20 minutes so only get 5 sessions during the day and a TWO HOUR (!!) lunch break as it's a full hour between sessions.
Mate that doesn't sound very good at all!! Hope you can make the most of it and good to have some feedback. Think I'll avoid 4 group sessions.... How are you getting on with the track? Haven't been there yet
I think 7 x 15 min sessions will be better. Yes it only gives you 5 mins extra over the day but you're on more frequently so feels like you get more. Also doesn't help when you get red flagged as we lost half a session this morning. The track is blindingly good. I think I prefer it to Snetterton as the undulations are wicked. Also GP is the way to go, way better than Indy. Only 2 afternoon sessions now though.
Would love to join you mate! What group do you run in? Was thinking of Donny but apparently there's a fair few highsides there and I am a bit heavy on the throttle out of bends. Maybe Cadwell would be a good one to go for? Hopefully I can bring a few other southerners with me to represent init
I've done inters last time at oulton and just booked inters there again for 27th, inters too for cadwell on 16th, if it goes well there I'm probs booking fast at cadders on the 30th sept. Yourself?
Fast group all day long buddy Gonna have a look at some Oulton park youtube videos to see what it's like and where the damn place is Could follow you with my Hero3 and get some nice footage for you to impress the ladies with
Haha yeah man but I'll be in inters!! Why don't you book onto oulton for 27th, you're one of the only regulars I haven't met in person yet
Jesus an hour between sessions!! Gulp too much free time,I won't know what to do with myself. And 2hrs lunch I'd be off down the pub.
show him your pictures!? Sounds like fun and games at brands though mate! never actually seen any aggro at a track before which is surprising really! as for the 4 sessions, they are doing these on the GP day in Sept, but they told me it was 15 mins each? shall see how that pans out....
Power is nothing without controll Navy!! done one lap of donny (long story) but seemed like an awesome flowing track - wouldnt let your concerns stop you. i'll def be going back!
Ok well hopefully you're right mate. When I get to tracks I feel the need for speed, like a red mist..... Maybe better to hang with YT in the inters or I'll just be trying to chase down all the fast track bikes! Reminds me I need to get my braided lines done as the rubber hoses fade as the brakes warm up. Going to be fitting the fully Yoshi system this weekend before my dyno on the 29th It's not aggression, more severe over excitement! I'm surprised I don't wag my tail and pee on the floor....
Ha ha... get booked on to the brands GP with us then mate in sept, you can get a proper lick on the back section. one suspects you'll love it. Snet300 is awesome, but nothing compared to GP IMO. Oulton (from the 3 wet sessions i done) seems quite technical tbh, highside there much easier than the others imo as there are some quite tight corners / chicanes.
Yeah, if it wasn't for the fight/arrest cabaret lunchtime would have been a right drag. Consensus here is would be best to do away with the lunch hour and have 6 x 20 min sessions with the 1 hour in between all of them. Hopefully MSV will allow that and NL will do it.
So is that a +1 for the southern crew to head north Jimbo and Moily? By the sound of it would rather Donny to start with wouldn't wanna risk my bike before the dyno session on 29th YT... Trust me I'm borderline lunatic pace on track for my experience! The fast group at snetty laughed at me when I said it was my second track day and the first was in novice group. Which made it even more satisfying when I was one of the fastest there on the day
