    Saw him the the telly the other night reassembling a Japanese electric guitar, but more importantly I now know how to spot a JIS screw compared to a Philips. The answer is to look for a centre punch mark on the screw head. I wonder how many rounded off screw heads have the mark on them?

    For those reading the above and thinking WTF is a JIS screw the below pic shows how to identify the different types of Phillips screws! ;)

    I had a head smack moment too while watching that. I confess, I'd never even heard of JIS before.

    Does that mean we have to buy another set of screw drivers for those too?
