Well today was a great day, I got a phone call this morning from Chichester Honda telling my my new bike was all ready for collection. So I said a fond goodbye to my 2008 Kawasaki ZX6R which truely was a great bike, and a huge smile came to my face as I was handed the keys to my 2011 Repsol Blade with just 1,200 miles from new and in truely mint condition. Rode it back from Chichester to Gosport and was surprised what an easy machine she is to ride, totally as everyone had told me...... Handles just like a 600 but with alot more power, I'm very impressed and it's my first 1ltr bike. The thirty odd mile ride was a total pleasure, and I just can't see me selling this, Ever. So Out With The Old And In With The New Sorry about photo quality, too lazy to charge my camera battery so taken on phone.
When funds allow , and before you change the can get an HM Quickshifter fitted to it - my top tip Stunning looking bike - welcome to the litre club as others have said
Before I change the can..... LOL, Is that a must then. I have to admit liking the look of the "TaylorMade" aftermarket kit. Maybe not the top sounding but do like the location and the fact that it looks about as factory fit as you can get. Would like to change the tyres, but the bike has only done 1k from new, so seems a shame to ditch so much unworn rubber (Bridgestone BT16) just to put something abit better on at the moment. BT16's are not the best, but still more competent than me.
usualy i wouls strongly suggest removing the bt-016's but as winter is on its way they will do you just fine. the taylor made does look good but only because of the plastic cover you get, behind that they look horrid, each to there own though, i mean i like running around with a fog horn blasting out
Good luck dude you wont regret it ,Having had two zx10r s i still think the green is the best bike colour ever! Not sure on the choice of can ''noise is a pain in the ass'' and you may get bored fast. stick to the yoshi .
Thanks for sharing. A great feeling when picking up a new bike but also sad saying good by to th old bike. You will live the blade
Drool..... i just love the Repsol blades, they are the best, the fastest and the tastiest bikes ever......And no i am not a Repsol groupie ! One day my 954 will be retired and a shiny Orange/Red/White machine will adorn my garage. Well done and safe riding.
On the exhaust point get a yoshi, best can by far and sounds awesome, better than tin can Taylor made crap!
If you decide to go the yoshi route contact Tom at biohazard in the states, will save you a fortune compared to uk price
Forget the yoshi, try Leo Vince GP Pro, Looks better and sounds awesome. Check out my photos or watch this on youtube CBR 1000 RR 09, Fireblade, Leo Vince Exhaust.MOV - YouTube Also I'm sure I read on the forum the the build quality of the Taylormade isn't too good
