The Gritters are out

    That's right pop pickers Gritters out all over the country gritting the roads that are melting due to the er un - seasonal temperatures so be extra cautious as this may be more of a risk to Motorbikes than the Tar and grit method due to the grit having no bond with the melting surface .:mad:

    offs! this almost seams like a covert scheme to keep bikes off the roads.
    Salt in winter, pot holes in spring now loose grit in summer!
    what next ball bearrings in autumn??

    They did that around here the other day , had to look twice I must admit but this week they have graveled most of my journey to work , great! Wasnt swearing under my lid much

    So why is it that if you go to the alps on roads that are miles from any town and not really a necessity and are covered in snow for half the year baked in sun for the other half the tarmac is pristine!!
    And our roads in the UK melt with the first bit of sun we have in 6 years or so... or the just break up at the first sign of ice. Is the way we lay our roads that different to europe?
