Talent in engineering does not necessarily include taste.

It's the only way to make a repslow fast by sticking a gold wing engine in it :D

Fair enough lads. Sorry. ;) It's just that when I see a 'project' like that I'm always interested in the 'back story'. I mean, no matter how much we may consider it, (Shall we say?) 'misguided', somebody had a dream and then got off their butt and probably, single-mindedly, moved heaven and earth to turn it into reality. Years ago, a friend of mine (who had served his time to become a qualified air-frame engineer with 'BAe') built a bi-plane from a kit for mutual friend and I remember him telling me that fewer than one in twenty of these kits ever reach completion. :( [As a matter of interest, he made a beautiful job of it and it looked magnificent in it's new paint. Sadly, though qualified, he never even got to fly in it 'cos as soon as it was awarded it's 'Certificate of Airworthiness' the 'customer/mate' sold it on for a tidy profit. The TWAT!].

You make a fair point Nick, and it's obvious that some serious fettling has gone into this.

Plus, 'each to his own' and 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone'.

In my opinion (caveat), despite 40 years of development of what, although brilliant in concept and execution, was a butt ugly bike to begin with, the Gold Wing is now even more fuggly than it was to begin with. In fact, the originals look like Holly Willoughby by comparison to the new ones (in my opinion, remember).

This chap then (in my opinion) has proceeded with a lost cause and compounded it by making a drop dead gorgeous bike fuggly too.

    That's a toofer.

If he had taken the original Wing and covered it in a burkah...

No, wait. There's enough peole trying to ban bikes as it is, without the righteous righties joining in.
