Think my thermostat has given up the ghost.
The bike normally runs at 80-86 degrees and the past 2 days it's been way up, the fan kicks in to cool it down to 90ish but then it creeps back up to 108 max around town. Gonna whip the 'stat out today and test it, already checked the coolant level and thats fine, there's no air trapped so thermo' is the next in line after that its the engine coolant temp sensor (ECT sensor).
Just what i need a day before the 2nd Welsh Run ......................:mad::mad:

Yeah i'm not too worried as it used to get up there in standing traffiic anyway and then once moving on it would drop right down but this is running hot while moving mate so just gonna check to be sure, i believe the second bigger fan is like an emergency booster and kicks in at about 110 degs.

I doubt anything to worry about mate... It's hot out!! Every day on my way home from work in London mine gets to 108, fan eventually brings it down to 105-6, then when movin to the next traffic light goes down to 94 or so if I get a clear road ahead...

Yeah spot on that's exactly mine too, checked the handbook and there's nowt to worry about until it hits 122 and the warning lights start flashing so all is good.
