If it were me, I'd go the GSXR-750 route, 600 size chassis, that extra bit of grunt over a 600, I would honestly ride one and see what you think.

Think going to a 600 will frustrate you.

Also - the 2006 bike not that different to the 2012 GSXR, you should be able to do a like for like swap at a dealer

As ash said down grading the engine size is not going to be as good. Mooooooore revs and less power. Heard they are great bikes but glad I upgraded over the past few years to the blade.

One of my ridding buddies has just bought a 2004 cbr 600 and as you do i had to have a ride. Ok so it is about 10bhp down on the new zx-6 but damn they are slow. think of it this way, the 600's power is between 10k-15k revs but the blade has that same power between 6k-8k revs so really its a no brainer

I had an R6 before the Blade and I don't think I really rode it much slower. If anything the rev hungry nature of the bike just invited you to kick its head in even more. I also don't think that the R6 felt that much more nimble either. Marginal at best.

You will just ride a 600 harder thrashing it to go faster. Keep the blade and teach yourself to chill!
