BBC News - 'Weather bomb' hits power and travel in northern UK Why do the media and now more so the weather forecast feel the need worry "some" people by escalating the forecast? Weather bomb FFS Yellow warning for rain,Snow Amber warning for rain, snow FFS I know some people are dumb by they seem to want to treat everyone like they are idiots. How's it been with everyone in the north? Was a lovely day in the South west yesterday and we had a little rain on the evening and night. Have anyone has any major issues with this weather bomb yet? Just interested to hear from others on this
For the last two nights I've been kept awake with the wind and rain smashing against my south facing bedroom window. But its nothing new.. weather bomb??? load of bullshit. 6ft of snow overnight and ill start listening
I was tacking at a 45deg angle this morning across the Medway bridge trying to keep the bike in the same lane as I wanted to be and it was fooking cold.
That Medway bridge needs wind guards on it especially as you get to the Strood turning.Proper nasty there.
It's the uk, it's winter, it's wet and it's windy. Doesn't sound so exciting so the "meeja" do what they always do these days and hype it up. Seems nothing can be shown without hype and hyperbole these days, just look at the reality cop shows etc where everything is dramatic even when it is actually a non-event. Bring back Pathe News and a bit of decorum.
The weather in Snowdonia ALWAYS feels like the blast wave from a H bomb Still went for a ride yesterday and a bit of power lift of front over a crest turned into a rather loooooong wheelie due to the wind getting under me. Still it made for exhilarating riding really enjoyed it The new HRC quick action throttle was a bit of liability though needed lots of self restraint.
