threadlock

any ideas on how to clean threadlock off bolts and the bolt hole before putting news bolts in ? thanks.

 

They sell threadlock cleaner, or you could use a tap and die if feeling brave.

 

I didn't realise they sold a cleaner , I will have a look , but im not brave enough to use a tap and die , lol , cheers.

 

Acetone (nail varnishes remover) will for most but you obviously need to be careful for plastics/painted surfaces. Try it on the bolts first and if that works okay then earbud it inside the tapped holes

 

I use a brush either plastic or brass depending on the situation. Then white spirit followed by brake cleaner if necessary
