Ok, not sure how to explain this one....so pics hopefully will help. 2006 CBR1000RR. Quick background... I had to change my throttle cables a few weeks ago, one was frayed I noticed during a cleaning if my throttle body. After removing the old ones and installing the new ones, it seems to me like the throttle handle is not properly set all the way on the bar after maintenance. With my new grip, and my old grip (which had the black end that butted up against the cable attachment cover), they both seem to set about 1/2in away from where the cable attachment cover is. Before, it seemed to rest right against. It sets far enough away now that when I put the bar end on and tighten it down like how it was originally it freezes my throttle and I cant move it (before it was tightened pretty hard it throttle moved just fine with no catching). I am pretty sure I may have jacked something up somewhere...probably something really easy to fix, I am just drawing a blank on what I did or how I did it. I looked in the book, but...service manuals don't always give that "you are an idiot do this" answer lol. Is the way it is setting normal and I am just really foggy brained, or any ideas on how to make it right? Thank you!
there’s a locating lug for the throttle assembly, move it around until that’s located and then tighten everything up.
