I'm going on Friday through to Sunday with a few mates, if anyones going and wants to meet up for a pint or a cuppa then great! Lets hope the weather improves
Love Thruxton. It's a proper, low corporate presence, aerodrome race track. Pick the right spot and you can see two thirds of the circuit.
It's only an hour from me so it's either this or the Ace Cafe if the weathers ok but either of them will be on my lonesome at the moment. I was looking at doing a track day there but they don't do them for bikes because the locals complain about the noise (why move near a race track then?)
I've just watched the Weather and it looks OK today and tomorrow and Sunday at its best. I think BSB is going to be my choice for Sunday but I can't make it tomorrow as i'm tasked by the wife during the day and we're meeting some friends for meal in the evening. I'll try and coheres some mates to join me but my main biking mate struggles to walk (but still rides his fighter Blade like a demon).
I'm going me and my mate he will be on his sp2 leaving from Swindon Sunday morning about 9 if anyone is about and wants to tag on
I am hoping to be there to see my good friends at HM Racing and one of the SS1000 teams, IF I can get my workload done in time I have bikes coming out of my ears this week.. Why can people not get bikes sorted in the winter when they should be..lol Not that I am complaining...
That could be a plan, I'm coming from Abingdon so I could take the nicer roads and slight detour to Swindon, meet up with you and then head off to Thruxton to meet up with Villan.
What time does the butty wagon open at Motorcycle Mega Store (george whites), there at 0830 with time for me to have a bacon butty would work.
A good day had today, riding down with Guy and his SP-2 mate from Swindon (with a little impromptu stop) and then spending most of the day watching the Racing with Villan and his mates. My face is a little red from the wind/sun, thanks for hosting me guys and hopefully we can do (most of) it again sometime.
It was good to meet you buddy, shame Guy had his little off on the way down, but these things happen, glad you got home ok, it was bloody cold though wasnt it! Have a good crack in canada mate and we'll see ya soon!
