I've got four Ti caliper bolts inbound from RaceTi. On their site I cant find any info re. torque settings, so I am using the info on Pro-Bolt which is a bit contradictory....(see images below) https://www.pro-bolt.com/torque-information/ Should I use the recommended torque settings from the service manual for the caliper bolts or not? Service Manual: Pro-Bolt info:
I would go with the manufacturers torque values mate. I also put a very small dab of copper slip on the end and haven’t had a problem in over 30k miles.
moly Grease is best for titanium bolts into aluminium or thread lock for calliper bolts to stop contamination
I used manufacturer torque figures when doing mine moly Grease is best for titanium bolts into aluminium or thread lock for calliper bolts to stop cross contamination
Everyone takes the piss out of me because I copper slip everything but when I do callipers I would thread lock. It not only locks but prevents corrosion
