Yeah i know easy peasy, well i got the throttle side on ok, but have had shit loads of probs with the l/h side, (i did post on this) well i got some proper glue and still the grip was turning, i had a spare grip, got the new one halfway on and would it budge, would it fck, so i cut a barsteward off, so today 2 new grips arrived, so any tips. i cleaned the bar up before, i am getting the jitters now,how about soap and water ?? (was told not to) only i dont want the same to happen again, cheers Rolls.
Either the airline as mentioned above or brake cleaner works well too. The fact the brake cleaner evaporates = less mess but provides enough lubrication to slide it on. If it dries up in the mean time just spray some more in.
yep like the hairspray and brake cleaner, i have got both (poser) well i have still got hair and proud of it, but the old grey cover up comes in handy, thanks, guys will do 2morrow
As a cycle shop we use easystart to burn the grips on.Lubes to start with then burnsthe inside rubber to the bar.
hairspray. always used it on all my bikes motor and MTB. spray on the bar keep grip cool and out of sun (stops it buckling) tap home with rubber hammer
