Selling the r6 asap after croft and putting a new set of fairings on it, should I paint them or leave them blank for the next owner? Its a lot of work and a bit of cash
It depends if someone that is racing etc is interested then they can put their own war paint on, however if someone was looking to buy their firs track bike they maybe more tempted with a shiny new paint job. Also may be spending all their penny's and may see the extra costs of painting off putting
A pretty bike will help sell it as you want it to stand our from all the other track/race bikes that will be coming up for sale as I for one if I was looking for a r6 would look through ebay and probably look more at the one that looks pretty than the blank canvas one.IMO But I do like pretty bikes
Get is painted or at least go for White Gel coat fairing kit and get a full sticker kit. Plain fairings smack of a regularly Binned bike which is off putting for new Punters! .....................oh wait...............
Not off the cuff but I've seen plenty of plain white bikes at Track Days with just stickers on them and they looked great. The old Yamaha 350LC's had a nice plain white finish with just a blue decal sticker fitted. Check out Fleabay I'm sure they'll be plenty of kits to choose from.
Ta dah! For starters Yamaha R6 Supersport/Superstock 2008-2012Motorbike Sticker Kit Graphics Decals | eBay
Either that or simply paint black and bang some monster stickers on it. Simple, cheap but effective??
personnaly i'd paint, vinyl or sticker it up. a blank set of fairings is going to cost someone 350+ to get painted, plus thehassle of it,so could put people off imo.
