Did an open pitlane day at cadwell today, quite a few superstock bikes there practising for the next bsb support races.
I thought i wasnt too slow on trackdays until i was passed by these guys.
Anyway going into the stupid little chicane that they have put between mansfield and the mountain. i took a bike up the arse, i managed to stay upright and carry on only to see some dude skating along on the tarmac behind me.
The worst part was i had a camera mounted on the bike, and had just swapped it from facing backwards to facing forwards so i missed the crash , bugger.
other dude was ok , said he thought he could pass me before the chicane ,but he failed.
Not to worry i was on my track gixer so not bothered about the bent exhaust and minor scrapes to rear seat unit

Fookin ell, they must be quick to catch you. Unless ya stopped and waited so they knew which way to go. Glad to hear your ok mate, and good job ya swapped camera mount.....might have missed out on a good shot but at least ya camera didnt get trashed.

the amazing repsol now has nearly 5000 miles on the clock . not bad going considering the crap summer we have had so far, loving every ride , although i have had a couple of slides on gravel due to the floods up here lately.
i see you are managing a few track days yourself .
iwas toying with the idea of getting a bldde track bike ,as i think the low fuel tank would help with direction changes at speed, and the blade just feels so light compared to the gixer , but they are still a bit expensive at the moment.

honest to god ,you would not believe how fast these racers can go ,and how late they brake, i will try to put some vids on youtube with a link when i get time, to show how much faster they are.
After i wore out the rear tyre yesterday i had a second hand slick that i bought from castrol craig put on, first time i had ridden on a slick tyre.
the grip difference is amazing, cant wait to wear my front tyre out and fit a slick to that.
